Function
功能
Movement, strength, mobility, coordination, cognition and daily capability.
Definition
What Function means
Function describes practical capability: how a person moves, carries, balances, concentrates and completes the physical and cognitive tasks that their life asks of them.
Why it matters
Function is what people actually live in. Two people with identical reports can live very differently, and capability — not labels — determines daily quality of life.
What it includes
- Mobility and joint range in everyday ranges
- Strength and load tolerance for daily tasks
- Balance, coordination and gait
- Attention, memory and mental stamina
- Ability to perform work and household tasks
How individuals observe it
- · Note one everyday task that has quietly become harder this year.
- · Observe how long you can stay focused before quality drops.
- · Check whether both sides of the body feel equally available.
How practitioners use it
- · Set practice goals in terms of real tasks, not abstract scores.
- · Choose movement and mobility work matched to current capability.
- · Re-observe function to confirm whether practice is transferring to life.
